That’s pretty much what Jalopnik was like when I found it. And I loved it! I miss engine of the day most of all.

If Oppo wrote for the FP, then there would be no Oppo, or no FP.
We would be one.
One in shitposting.
TheBloody, Oppositelock lives on in our shitposts.

Drove a Chrysler very much like that wagon a long time ago ... oversensitive power brakes and big acceleration for something that massive. Still, what a magnificent yacht.

Based on your numerous replies, I have deduced that you’ve owned every interesting car ever

Did not own, just drove a couple buddies around when they didn’t have a license and I did. I’ve driven lots of things that weren’t mine, including a ‘63-ish E-Type. That was the most interesting by far.

All Rally Chicken (Tax), all the time.
Seriously, though, some of the longreads here are bonkers good. A weekly Oppo roundup would (although it would probably break the new isolation rules) bring some quality content to the FP. (For FP commentors to poop on.)

What about the 1974-77 Town & Country? That Chrysler missed a sales oppotunity by not grafting the Imperial/New Yorker Brougham hidden headlight nose on the front for ‘76?
That it’s an enormous shame that the US market’s second longest-running nameplate is being unceremoniously kicked to the curb after 72 model years?

I Also drove an E-Type once, wish I’d spent more time with it, sometimes it not just another car, but not often.

Oddly, I’ve driven both a RHD and a LHD E-Type, both in the U.S. Newfound respect for Doug DeMuro ... it’s unnerving to drive a RHD car and judge the centerline from the edge of the road.
